Matthew Pardoe playing in his first year at Kidderminster Victoria CC had a dream move. He played in all the Williamson trophy games and with his team mates succeeded to being victors of the trophy and also a solid league effort.

Matthew opened the batting throughout the season and his run total included six fifties and two back to back centuries. He also played a part on the bowling front in some of the matches. He took 12 league wickets with best figures of 3-38.

He also played in all Worcestershire 2nd XI games after his A-level exams had finished. He scored 765 runs at a total average of 42 with his average in the three day second eleven championship competition being 46.75.

His 2nd XI highlights were consecutive centuries against Leicestershire at New Road scoring 108* to take the team to victory and also 100 vs Warwickshire the following week in the one day competition. Matthew also played in four academy games for Worcestershire with score of 105,96,38 and 83 not out.
