Awarded to: Ed Pollock

 

Ed Pollock made his debut for Barnt Green CC 1st XI in 2011 (aged 15) in the National T20 Competition. During the Season, in addition to playing for his Club, he represented Worcestershire Young Cricketers U17’s and RGS Worcester 1st XI. In 2011, Ed attended an ECB Elite training weekend at Loughborough, was selected as a member of the Worcestershire CCC Academy and was awarded a cricket scholarship to Shrewsbury School. In 2010, Ed played for the Midlands region at the ESCA Bunbury Festival. Ed has played for Barnt Green CC from aged 6 and WYC from U10’s. As an all-rounder, Ed is a left handed opening batsman and right arm off spin bowler. His batting and bowling statistics in 2011 were as follows:

 

RGS Worcester 1st XI (658 runs at an average of 66, 27 wickets at an average of 21)

WYC U17’s (200 runs at an average of 50, 10 wickets at an average of 33)

Barnt Green CC 2nd XI (417 runs at an average of 60, 3 wickets at an average of 54)
